Chloe Nicksic Sigmon, PhD

Director of Research

Chloe earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis in 2012 and completed her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at VA Medical Centers in PTSD, dialectical behavior therapy, and military sexual trauma clinics. Her clinical and research training sparked a passion for facilitating access to evidence-based care for underserved populations and people who might not otherwise be able to receive mental health treatment.

Chloe has channeled this passion into implementation research. She co-developed program evaluation protocols and an active research program focused on examining factors related to adherence and effective treatment outcomes in a private clinic setting and has focused her research efforts on implementation in real world settings.

In 2020, Chloe joined the National Mental Health Innovation Center’s staff. As the Director of Research, Chloe led ongoing research and grant writing efforts and refined her expertise in feasibility, acceptability, and efficacy evaluations for digital mental health. Her passion and unmatched research skills came with her to VXVY where she works closely with organizations around content development, evaluation, and quality improvement.

Chloe is particularly inspired by VXVY’s mission to quickly disseminate high-quality digital mental health tools in a way that prioritizes effectiveness, scalability, and sustainability.

Chloe and her family live in beautiful Loveland, Colorado. When not working, Chloe enjoys reading, running, hiking, watching football and baking competition shows, and spending time with her cool dog and cooler family.
